Some people don't eat wheat because they have issues
with the digestive system and wheat is not as much rich
in fibre as compared to Oat Bran.
Oat is void of any gluten . So if
you are gluten intolerant then you can certainly eat
Oat bran without much of a problem.
For children sometimes wheat is not
easily digestable as compared to oat bran. So they can
be given porridge made of Oat bran. It is essentially
a food that can be given to people with weak digestive
system.
Wheat on the other hand is good for people who engage
into more physical activity or have good digestion power.
Wheat is best food for building up tissues as mentioned
in Ayurveda.
Oat bran on the other hand does not provides instant
energy to the body. So wheat is important
staple diet as we can see all over the world.
So it all depends upon your need and requirements.
Oat bran is good as a health supplement and food. Wheat
is great as a daily diet for everyone.
